Anime Festival Asia 2008 Packs in the Crowd
There was a very long queue while I was there yesterday. It stretched all the way to the end of the corridor. After walking to the end, I just went down the escalator. I guess there were about over 100 people queuing up for tickets.
Today, I went back again, at 10 AM, which was right when they opened the doors. It was considerably less crowded. The photo above was taken at 10 AM. The crowd started trickling in constantly after that.
There were lots of toys on display, anime stuff, animation, exhibition booths, cosplayers and cosplay competition.
Most of the toys on display were not for sale. There were however many other toys and sets for sale.
Models for Major, Tachikoma and Lenneth Valkryie looked really great, as do many others.
Above are the cosplayers. It's pretty scary when you can recognize most of the characters. That only meant that a lot of time is spent on watching anime! I sigh relief when for every one I couldn't recognise.
At 2 PM, the cosplay competition really drew in the crowd. By 2.30 PM, my empty stomach just told me to leave for lunch. I only managed only to catch 2 short cosplay contestants.
There are more photos for Anime Festival Asia 2008 in my Flickr photo set. They are best viewed in slideshow mode. Enjoy.
Check out the official Anime Festival Asia website too for more information.
